Code of Ethics

 

Each member of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Bed and Breakfast Association promises to abide and support the following Code of Ethics. While the NOTL B&B Association can accept no liability whatsoever for the actions of the members, we do require that members adhere to this Code of Ethics.

  1. To ensure the highest level of cleanliness and hospitality in a quality private dwelling.

  2. To hold a Small Scale Tourist Accommodation License from the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake and to comply with the provisions regarding by-laws, health protection and fire safety.

  3. To handle all inquiries, requests, reservations and correspondence courteously and fairly.

  4. To publish and charge appropriate rates and adhere to stated and reasonable policies regarding rates, deposits and cancellations.

  5. To be truthful in all promotional and advertising materials concerning facilities, services and amenities.

  6. To offer a fair exchange on U.S. currency.

  7. To respond promptly, courteously and professionally to complaints, either verbally or in writing.

  8. To support the aims and objectives of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Bed and Breakfast Association.

  9. To recognize that membership in the Niagara-on-the-Lake Bed and Breakfast Association may be withdrawn for lack of compliance with this Code of Ethics.

Should you have a complaint about your stay with one of our members, please advise the host(s) in writing. If the complaint is not resolved, please send details to the Niagara-on-the-Lake B&B Association at Box 1228, Niagara-on-the-Lake, On Canada L0S 1J0.
