George and Verna Stewart invite you to step back in time at their recently restored home. Enjoy a smoke-free, air-conditioned environment with yesteryear's ambience and today's luxury.
Inside this common centre hall layout are nicely appointed rooms boasting simple trim with mitered architraves, molded with delicate profiles as are the cabinetry and baseboards. The mantelpieces are also simple in design, with pilasters, centre panels and fine reeding as the principal decoration.
This charming Georgian House has been lovingly restored, with great attention to detail, to maintain it's original atmosphere.
Historic/Heritage Details: Adam Lockhart built Storrington House in 1817. He was a prominent merchant, banker, ship owner, and later, the secretary of the Niagara Harbour and Dock Company.
Yesteryear, a prominent merchant's home, today, a prominent Bed & Breakfast.
